I have loved this plant this season. Phytolacca icosandra is a more refined version of the American pokeweed, Phytolacca americana. It comes from S America, is said to be perennial in warmer climes, (unlikely here in the UK?), and non-invasive.
The seeds were bought from Plant World Seeds, sown in an unheated greenhouse in spring, planted out at the beginning of June. Love it, love it, love it!
