Anthyllis vulneraria

Anthyllis vulneraria, Kidney Vetch or Lady’s Fingers, is a british native wildflower normally a rich yellow in colour. The scarlet and deep red, nearly black forms are much more dramatic.

A creeping mat forming plant with slightly silvered foliage, I am not entirely sure they are displayed at their best here, probably growing over a low pale coloured wall or in gravel would be better.  These are shown growing in full sun.

Used by herbalists for healing wounds and treating coughs.
